Thursday 24 Oct Jells Pk & beyond

10 riders left Jells Pk and even better,10 returned. A morning ride and the weather was very kind to us. As well, Elizabeth led us through a maze of delightful tracks that effectively meant we avoided Waverley Hill both there and back. An excellent diversion. Thank you Elizabeth.

The Ironman is under Repair !

Those that are aware of Werners Noojee mishap a week ago would be glad to hear that he is slowly on the mend thanks to the efforts of a few Boileremakers and a couple of hospital Dr's. Werner apparently momentarily thought that he was a stunt man crashing into a branch / log on the way back to Yarra Junction from the Noojee ride. Showing his "Ironman" like qualities Werner rode back to Yarra Junction after his bike got the all clear. Like all rib injuries though the pain was delayed.  In discomfort Werner shipped himself off to hospital in the early hours where diagnosis confirmed that a few ribs and a lung were in need of repair. After a few days in Hospital and some Emerald supplied pain killers,Werner now thankfully reports to being on the improve indicating that he has had plenty of support from family and friends. I'm certainly hoping that the new modified Ironman V2.0 will be back with us in the near future. Get well Werner !
