4 Days in the Western Districts - Ararat to Warrnambool

Self and 3 former Warbies set off on a 4 day Western District adventure taking advantage of our Senior Rail passes when we rode over 250 kms from Ararat to Warrnambool.

Day 1 Ararat to Dunkeld saw 30c temps and some lovely background Grampians scenery while Day 2 (Dunkeld to Mortlake) saw a 10c (feels like 3.5c day) - I can't comment on the scenery as we were too buy keeping our heads out of the very strong headwinds. Day 3 saw another cold headwind day to Terang and just to make it different day 4 was similar arriving in Warrnambool just in time for our train back to Melb. Many thanks to Rick Coxhill who put together an enjoyable (headwinds excluded) few days away. ps yes that is a bicycle tow rope and yes Country folks are without doubt heaps friendlier than city ones !
