Coastal Capers, (Pt.Nepean ride) 11th.June

A delightful ride in beautiful winter weather. It was a balmy 10 deg when we left Safety Beach – as distinct from the zero deg start two days before when we left Emerald with frozen fingers and toes on the Gembrook ride. There were eight of us, all eager to finally get on the road bikes again. We raced down Nepean Hwy with gay abandon and before we knew it we were in Sorrento. On to Portsea for a coffee / lunch stop, featuring some mouth watering home made pies, then off to Pt.Nepean. So good to ride along the car free road to the fort. On the way back all speed records were broken endeavoring to catch up to Bob and Werner. Another great event to go into the ride almanac.
