A Bus Shelter too Far !

Werner’s Weather channel reported the chance of 1/5th of stuff all rain despite overhead ominous clouds as we head off by way of Bourkes Creek Rd and and the Gembrook back road to Gembrook. Needless to say we’d made it only 1 km before the heavens opened forcing us to take shelter in the first of 3 bus shelters for the day. Despite Kerri hoping that we’d turn back we bravely continued onwards making it to bus shelter number 2 just outside of Gembrook at the Bessie Creek Rd turnoff. This bus shelter was well known to all having been the scene of some veritable brick walls with first Kirsten and then Helen laying prostrate in the shelter after the long climb up from Na Na Goon.  With the rain easing we ventured onto Gembrook bakery for our obligatory coffee before taking the direct way back to Emerlad and bus shelter number 3 half way up Baileys Road as the rain decided to give us one last farewell deluge. Dirt splattered we finally made it back to the car park cursing those that elected to miss out on our muddy adventure while looking forward to our next serious.challenge .. Ash Landing !
